    With 15 Apes making the trip to Belle, Missouri, 2026 was the biggest Apes meetup we've ever had. A couple of Apes couldn't make it and we missed them a lot; hopefully they can make it next time. This trip also made it officially 9 years since the Discord was first created. All we did was hang out at the Airbnb, swim, fish, and play board games, and we loved every minute of spending time together and catching up again. We can't wait for next year's trip, because it will be our 10-year anniversary for the Discord. 10 years. That is crazy. We've made such cool friendships along the way, and we're so grateful for everyone who's in it.

    The Apes headed to Oklahoma for the 2025 meetup. We stayed at an awesome Airbnb, soaked up the Oklahoma heat, and had a great time out on the water, renting a boat for a full day on the lake. Another trip to remember.

    While 2024 didn't have an official Apes meetup, it was still a big year for the group. Three of our own tied the knot: Cole Allen, Nathan Spicka, and Josh Dukeberry all got married. The Apes showed up dressed to impress and celebrated alongside them all year long.

    Our first meetup! The Apes visited Louisville, Kentucky, and it's where many of us met in person for the first time. During our time in Louisville we hung out, bar hopped, and went to the shooting range.

    How we met

    Our Discord server was first created on June 20, 2017. The server owner was and still is WhiteBoiCrusty. Back then a new game called PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) was spiking in popularity, and PUBG is where a lot of the Apes came from. Since then we have continued to grow into a friendly and welcoming Discord community.

    Other games we found each other on are Rust, Modern Warfare, Battlefield 1, and Killing Floor 2.
